NEW YORK -- Dak Prescott and the surging Dallas Cowboys keep on rolling. The Cowboys have won a franchise regular-season record nine games in a row and host the rival Redskins on Thanksgiving Day in a key NFC East matchup. The Cowboys also remained in the No. 1 spot in the latest AP Pro32 poll , which was released Tuesday.Dallas received 11 first-place votes for 383 points from balloting by media members who regularly cover the NFL.Dak Prescott passes another important test, not only solving the Ravens top-ranked defense, but doing so with Tony Romo in uniform for the first time this season, said Newsdays Bob Glauber. The top three teams all stayed the same from last weeks poll as Seattle finished with 364 points and New England received the other first-place vote and had 359 points. The AFC West dominates the next part of the poll as first-place Oakland and Denver each move up a spot to No. 4 and 5, respectively.Kansas City fell two spots into a tie at No. 6 with the New York Giants, who have won five games in a row and face winless Cleveland on Sunday.Very quietly, the Giants have rattled off five straight wins, said Jenny Vrentas of The Monday Morning Quarterback. The difference between this years team and last years team is that the Giants finally have the talent on defense to close out tight games.Washington became the third NFC East team in the poll as it moved up a spot to No. 8.How do you like Kirk Cousins now? asked Ira Kaufman of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.In line for a big payday, Cousins is deftly guiding the NFLs No. 2 offense.A pair of first-place teams round out the top 10.Atlanta, which leads the NFC South by a game fell a spot to No. 9.And Detroit, which is tied with Minnesota in the NFC North, moved up two places to No. 10. And the Vikings, who play the Lions on Thanksgiving Day, moved up four spots to No. 11.---For more NFL coverage: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP-NFLGoran Dragic Jersey .ca looks back at the stories and moments that made the year memorable. It was just business as usual for the Thunder at home. Durant scored 32 points and the Thunder beat the Bulls 107-95 on Thursday night for their eighth straight win. ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford had a different look at practice Wednesday. He wore a glove on his right throwing hand that covered only his injured middle finger. He seemed to throw accurately with a decent degree of velocity to teammates during the portion of practice that was open to reporters. The New York Giants , however, will provide a much tougher test for Staffords ability to pass effectively with a banged-up finger outdoors and on the road.Stafford hurt his finger in the first quarter of Sundays win over Chicago, playing through the injury that stemmed getting hit by the Bears Leonard Floyd. He played the rest of the game with a glove covering all his fingers and thumb on his right hand.He plans to experiment with different options, with and without a glove, during practices this week.Im not going to get into specifics, Stafford said. Im going to figure out whats best for me and this team and go forward. After throwing only one interception the previous eight games, Stafford was picked off on consecutive possessions in the fourth quarter against the Bears and had one of those passes returned for a touchdown. Stafford bounced back well enough, completing passes and running for a 7-yard, go-ahead touchdown to help the Lions become the first team in NFL history to come back from fourth-quarter deficits to win eight games in a season. He said his finger is OK and that it feels about the same as it did Sunday.Itll continue to get better, Im sure, Stafford said.Resting his finger, allowing backups Dan Orrlovsky and Jake Rudock to take more snaps and make more throws, is not an option Stafford wants to take advantage of this week, not with the division title and playoff positioning at stake.ddddddddddddI plan to take every rep in practice and in the game, he said.Stafford has started every game for a sixth straight season after injuries stunted his first two years in the league. Detroit drafted him No. 1 overall in 2009 and he missed six games his first season and 13 games his second year with shoulder and knee injuries. Throughout his career, including his rookie year against Cleveland when he was knocked out of a game and came back to throw a game-winning TD with no time left, Stafford has proven he can play through pain. Its not a matter of toughness with him, it never has been, Lions coach Jim Caldwell said. Hes a very, very tough-minded and tough physically individual that battles through a lot of stuff. In Week 15, the stakes will be high for both the NFC North-leading Lions (9-4) and Giants (9-4). The winner can potentially clinch a playoff spot with two games remaining in the regular season.Theyre playing for a lot; were playing for a lot, Stafford said. Its an NFC game. Its going to be a big one. Were excited about the opportunity, obviously.
